A personal review of the mini size tarot “The Complete Kit” deck which fits perfectly in the palm.
Its Design
Back design of the card is cute! I really liked this colourfulness and comicalness. I get the happy & bright feelings from these cards every time I use.
Major Arcana
The design is focused on one single motif from meanings of each card. Simple, easy to understand, it might be a good idea to have it at hand as a sub deck and for clarification purpose.
The four corners of the card are bordered by purple.
Minor Arcana: Wands
The wands = orange colour.
Minor Arcana: Cups
The cups = light blue colour.
Minor Arcana: Swords
The swords = yellow colour.
Minor Arcana: Pentacles
The pentacles = yellow-green colour.
Size / Price
The size is 79mm x 63mm. Some people may feel it too small, but it is easy for me to shuffle. My hand is relatively large, FYI.
I don’t remember the price clearly, but it was cheap, around 1,000 JPY. A small hard case and a mini booklet that fit the card exactly comes with the deck.
Where to buy
I bought this deck at Kinokuniya Bookstore in Shinjuku, Tokyo. I think it is still available in net orders, but not much. Some shops may have finished handling this deck, so it is recommended to purchase when you see it if you want it. It’s not expensive anyway.
Wrap up
The design of each card is faithful to the rider version overall. It is a deck that makes me cheerful that every time I turn a card around, I can almost smile. There seems to be a different version of this deck that is not a mini size with the same name, so please be careful when you buy.
