Deck review of one of the law of attraction cards named “Getting into the Vortex Cards” by Esther Hicks and Jerry Hicks, released in 2014. Here I’m introducing all 60 cards images and brief impressions. It is an official card of “Law of Attraction”.

Law of attraction messages regarding personal relationship matters are written on both sides of each card.

Overview / Features

You may have heard the word “law of attraction”. If you don’t know which book to refer to start, using card decks like this might be easy to understand its concept at a glance.

I’m not an expert in this field, but I find it interesting when I turn a card one by one, because I get tips on how to interact with people.

The authors are Esther & Jerry Hicks, and there are three types of cards related to the law of attraction by the same author. “The Law of Attraction Cards” that deals with the law of attraction in general, “Money, and the Law of Attraction Cards” that attracts wealth, “Getting into the Vortex Cards” focused on interpersonal relationships. What I introduce this time is the third one, cards about interpersonal relations. In addition to these cards, the author have been publishing many books on the law of attraction.

Deck Designs

The message and illustration are written on the front of each card, and a detailed description of the message is written on the back. The upper left is the serial numbers from 1 to 60.

Personal Impressions

What I like

The design is unique and the “eyeball” and “hand” are impressive. The deck is filled with a gentle colours overall. The size is 127mm x 89mm, slightly larger than playing cards or tarot decks, but there is no difficulty in shuffling. Messages are easy to read.

What I don’t like

Perhaps because of the English-Japanese translation matter, some messages are a little difficult to understand, especially the short messages on the surface. So I wrote the original English text myself on some cards. Original English wording is often simpler and easier to understand than the translated one.

There are unique keywords such as “Vortex” and “source”, and I personally do not get what they are. If you are familiar with the law of attraction system, you may not feel it as a problem.

Where to buy

Japanese edition has already been out of print at many online shops, but there may still be stock in book shops nearby your house. I bought it at Kinokuniya Bookstore at Shinjuku in 2019.

Even if the Japanese version is out of print, the original English version may still be sold online. Also, the secondhands are available, too.

Wrap Up

I feel that cards products soon become out of print, maybe because they are rather in a minor market. If you are interested, please give it a try.
